Let's let Vina do more of the talking.
How would you describe yourself?
I am a water baby! It makes me happy every time I get to go out of town for a trip. I also love to go shopping and I like hanging out with my friends or colleagues. I’m into Korean and Chinese food, but seafood will always be on the top of my list. I’m just the simple girl next door, trying to enjoy what I have in life.
Let’s talk about your job. So, how do you work with two companies at the same time?
Well, it’s not actually that hard because they’re almost in the same field. I work for Neverland Tuesdays to Wednesdays and I do mobile working from Thursday to Monday. For URBN QC, it’s a three-night operation that runs from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Thurdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
What are the perks of working with these companies?
You get to party a lot! Plus you get to meet and chat with influential and popular personalities, brush elbows with international DJs, and of course, you get to hang with our very own talented local DJs as well.
Who’s the best DJ you’ve worked with?
German record producer and DJ Zedd. I wasn’t able to meet him personally because I was too busy at work. I overheard his performance while I was in the ticket booth and enjoyed it so much. Afrojack, Kura, and Galantis are also among my favorites.
Who is your favorite local act?
Ron Poe, Marc Marasigan, Travis Monsod, Franco Zarate, and Everyday People. Seriously, I like a lot of local performers because they are nice, down to earth, and have impressive talent.
At an early age, you’re already a general manager and a production head. What’s your secret?
I believe I earned it because I work hard. My journey wasn’t easy. I had to deal with a lot of responsibilities. My secret formula is to love the job and to obey before complaining.
What’s your go-to drink at the bar?
I don’t drink during working hours, but when I’m out with my friends, I usually opt for Cuervo tequila or San Miguel Pale Pilsen.
How often do you party?
Believe it or not, I don’t really party. But because of my work for URBN, it seems like I do.
If you weren’t working with Neverland Manila or Urbn QC, what career would you pursue?
I would apply to any of the television stations here in our country. I’ve always dreamt of working behind the camera.
How do you spend your time off?
If we have long holidays, I make sure that I go out of town with my boyfriend or with friends. On Sundays, I hear mass with my mom and boyfriend then go to the mall. On a regular basis, I stay home and sleep a lot.
