It's the week after Holy Week, and frankly, we're still recovering from our post-vacay slump. We’d love to say we’re used to it by now, but every time we spend a few days in a cool surf town, we're ready to quit our day job and move there. If only we’d ever gotten past the first surf lesson.
In any case, if you’ve ever been to La Union, Baler, or Siargao, you’ve likely encountered the surfer girl, a unique female specimen which can be found chasing the perfect wave, stretching out in hammocks, and driving around in beat-up Volkswagen vans. Oh, and they also do Instagram really well, as you can see here.

I feel like I haven't seen the sun in over a month. It's constantly bleak and chilly and I am not fit for this weather! ???? But when I stop hoping for an all year round summer, I'm learning to settle into this too. I can still surf in a bikini, because our waters never really get that cold. Then I can cuddle into a comforter with a hot chocolate, and take lots of naps, and stay in and play monopoly deal with friends. Upsides ???????? | ????: @morenatravels
