Barbie Forteza recently posted a reunion picture with her fellow GMA 7 TV hit Tween Hearts cast.
If ‘90s kids had Gimik, Tabing Ilog, and Click, young millennials, on the other hand, had Tween Hearts. The popular youth oriented show lasted for four seasons, from 2010 to 2012. It became an avenue for upcoming Kapuso stars to showcase their skills and charisma. Notable personalities that were part of the original cast are Barbie Forteza, Bea Binene, and Louise Delos Reyes. On the other hand, Yassi Pressman and Kylie Padilla joined the following season.
It has been seven years since the hit tween show. You grew up and they've grown up as well. Some stayed under the limelight, some changed networks, while others opted for the simple life. Now, let's see what the lovely original Tween Hearts ladies are up to these days. Check them out below!
Since Tween Hearts, Barbie has made appearances in a variety of movies, sitcoms, and comedy shows. She's also bagged several acting awards, including the 2016 Fantasporto International Best Actress, 2014 Cinemalaya Best Supporting Actress, and she's also a 9th Ani Ng Dangal Awardee. You can catch her every Sunday afternoon on GMA 7’s Sunday PinaSaya.
Bea has been a loyal Kapuso for 13 years now, and has been part of numerous projects since Tween Hearts. Her most recent project is Mulawin vs Ravena, where she plays Anya, the daughter of Aviona. Puberty has been kind to this Starstuck Kids alumna, evident in her stunning Instagram posts, which we can’t help but double-tap.
Louise Delos Reyes
Louise stole our hearts (and the limelight) when she starred as the fierce Adana in Alakdana, Elize in One True Love, Marilyn in Mundo Mo’y Akin, and Alona/Perlas in Kambal Sirena. After several shows in the Kapuso network, Louise made a shocking career move earlier this year when she transferred to Viva Artists Agency. We last saw her on TV during her guest appearance on the high-rating ABS-CBN’s Ang Probinsyano. She also starred in the indie cult favorite Baka Bukas alongside Jasmine Curtis-Smith. Check out her well-curated Instagram feed for more of this headturner.
This pretty chinita has guest-starred on various GMA shows like Maynila, Magpakailanman, Wagas, and Bubble Gang. She was best known for her breakthrough role as the young Shirley in GMA’s remake of Endless Love: Autumn in My Heart opposite Kathryn Bernardo.
After the show ended, Lexi focused on herself and her battle against anxiety and depression, which she proudly shared on her blog, lovelexi.net. She’s currently busy blogging, traveling, and she aims to finish her Child Development and Education degree in the University of Asia and the Pacific soon.
Happy birthday, Madge!
