Aside from their interesting storylines, there’s also another reason why K-Dramas are worth binge-watching—the lovable Korean honeys. It's easy to get hooked on these fascinating shows and their pretty AF leading ladies. And if you're still not convinced, scrolling through this short list of Korean TV hotties should change your mind.
1) Song Hye-Kyo from Descendants of the Sun
Song Hye Kyo began her career as a model after winning the SunKyung Smart Model Contest in 1996 when she was only 14 years old. She made her acting debut that same year through the television drama First Love. But what brought her to fame worldwide was through the 2000 drama Autumn in My Heart. She then starred in other films and shows including All In (2003), Full House (2004), Worlds Within (2008), That Winter, The Wind Blows (2013) and Descendants of the Sun (2016). The 35-year-old actress is also considered one of the most beautiful women in Korea. We’d gladly sing “May tatlong bear sa loob ng isang bahay…” with this one anytime.
2) Jun Ji-Hyun from The Legend of the Blue Sea
Jun Ji Hyun is known for her roles in the comedy film My Sassy Girl (2001) and the television drama My Love From the Star (2013). After giving birth in early 2016, Jun Ji Hyun made her acting comeback in the drama The Legend of the Blue Sea, where she played the beautiful mermaid Se-hwa.
3) Lee Sung-Kyung from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Do you like Messi? We like Messi! 26-year-old Lee Sung Kyung's career exploded after starring in 2014 hit television drama It’s Okay, That’s Love, and in Queen’s Flower in 2015. She also has starred in the hit dramas Cheese in the Trap (2016) and the now-popular Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.
4) Kim Go-Eun from Goblin
Kim Go Eun is known for her role in 2012's A Muse, which won her several Best New Actress Awards in Korea. After a two-year hiatus to finish school, Kim Go Eun again impressed critics with her roles in the films Monster (2014), Coin Locker Girl (2015), and Memories of the Sword (2015). She made her television-acting debut in the hit drama Cheese in the Trap (2016). Her latest project was the K-Drama Goblin, where she played the role of the adorable Ji Eun-tak.
5) Park Shin-Hye from Doctors
Park Shin Hye made her acting debut in the 2003 television hit Stairway to Heaven and instantly gained fame for portraying the younger version of Han Jung Suh (Jodi, in the Filipino dubbed version). Since then she has starred in other dramas including Pinocchio (2014), Heirs (2013), Flower Boys Next Door (2013), and Doctors (2016).
