2012 is shaping up to be a big fashion year for men! But before you scowl at the thought of turning fasyonista— we can hear your "ang tunay na lalaki, walang pake!" thought-bubbles, oi!— allow us to bring you the good news: Men's fashion for 2012 is all about comfort. As in: those awkward skinny pants, stiff formal wear, and business suits take the back seat this year.
Witness: Gap heralding color and casual as the big trends this year! As though that's not enough, another popular brand, 7 For All Mankind, amplifies and boosts this trend.
7 For All Mankind is a Los Angeles-based brand of denim-lifestyle products. It's well-known for their denim, sportswear, and accessories for both men and women. What we like most about 7, as the brand is often called, is how they are able to bring the status of jeans from workwear to japorms. FHM went through their 2012 look book and just as we hoped, comfort and casual are up on their agenda, as well.
But here's the tricky thing: Going casual and trumping comfort come with the risk of looking lousy and sloppy. Remember: Lousy and sloppy are two things you don't want to be. We went through 7's lookbook and studied how you can wear these trends without looking like a slob. That's right, you can ride the trend in real life! Check out the gallery below to learn how to wear girlish colors, how to wear tapered pants, and hey! how to wear pastels.
7 For All Mankind is located at Powerplant Mall Rockwell, Greenbelt 5, and Trinoma.
