If you're going to judge a man, judge him by his shoes, because shoes are awesome, and men just love to be judged by the shoes they wear. What's the use of flashing around the brightest pair of basketball shoes or the gentlemanliest of fancy brogues if no one's going to point out, "Nice shoes, brah, your taste level is off the charts."
Whether it's for the hardcourt, the suit-laden streets of the city, or the great outdoors, there are shoes for every occasion. And part of being a man is choosing the right pair that will help tie an entire look together, and also to make a personal statement.
Here we've chosen 26 of the coolest new pairs for the cooler months ahead, spanning an entire rack of brands and a range of purposes. Wallets at the ready, gentlemen, and kickstart the season with a gallery of new kicks to drool over.

LeBron X MVP Shoes
In celebration of LeBron’s fourth MVP, Nike came up with a special edition of the LeBron X shoes to commemorate the milestone. On the tongue is the word "MVP," and plastered all over is a cacophony of colors capable of inducing epileptic seizures. The rad neon-'90s colorway and wild geometrical prints is for the player who ain't afraid of a little flash in his game.
LeBron X P.S. Elite "Superhero"
Seen those "Superhero" Nike ads where Kobe, Lebron, and Durant appear clad in Iron-Man like armor? This is one of the three shoes being promoted in that series. Unlike normal Lebrons, word around the web is that these "elite" versions have better stability, support, and added breathability. Like the player the shoes are designed for, it's hard to see Nike improving an already stellar design, but they might have done just that with this pair. Of course, this one's strictly under the realm of hardcore collectors given the price.
Cop if you dare!
Kobe 8 System Elite
Kobe's shoes also get the elite treatment. Here, his Kobe VIII's have been given a poison green colorway, and carbon fiber in the heel and shank for a lightweight profile and a more snug fit. As in the original shoe, it features Nike Zoom technology for comfortable and consistent cushioning. A great item for collectors, too.
KD V Elite
Durant’s versatility and passion for the sport of basketball is unleashed with elite version of his KD Vs. The highlight here are the volt colorways and sharp lightning bolts, and the addition of the dynamic Flywire technology, responsible for fluid movement and power for finely-tuned court performance. Do all these additions help you shoot like K.D.? If you practice everyday, probably. If you're going to play only every six months, then probably not.
