Girls have cute printed rain boots while guys have... Well, cute printed boots aren't actually an option for us.

In fact, you hardly see a man wearing rain boots loud and proud. So what kind of footwear should you wear when it's gloomy outside and the ground is soaked? Fortunately, there are shoes out there that can survive the downpour better than most. Whether you're looking for a quick-dry pair or something water resistant, our list will help you choose the best rain-appropriate footwear for you.

Option 1: adidas ZG Bounce Trainer

White sneakers are in at the moment and you don't have to ditch them during the rainy season, especially if they feature a seamless mesh upper that promotes breathability and lightweight support. The mesh material means that it won't absorb water like a sponge, allowing it to dry faster. With grippy rubber outsoles for slippery conditions, this sneaker is a solid rainy season bet.

Option 2: Merrell Capra Rapid

The pair is made of "ventilated hydro-hiker engineering" tech. The fancy speak aside, what you get are quick-drying shoes that have drainage channels for water evacuation. It also features "M Select Wet Grip" and goat hoof-inspired sole (specifically that of a mountain-climbing goat's called a "capra") made for wet, slick, and unpredictable surfaces.

Option 3: Nike LunarGlide+4 Shield

Offering the ideal blend of cushioning and support, many runners have given positive reviews for the LunarGlide. Equipped with an inner reflective sleeve to offer higher visibility and to serve as a barrier against water, the fourth edition of the LG will enable you to hit the road during this wet season.

Option 4: Sperry Flex Deck CVO

The Flex Deck has a lightweight and breathable quick-dry mesh upper for incredible comfort. Its "Molded Hydro Grip" rubber outsole disperses water underfoot to reduce slippage on wet surfaces.

Option 5: Nike Roshe Run

Unless you've teleported to another planet, you'd know that Roshe Run has been generating so much hype in the sneaker scene since the latter half of 2015. The reason: They aren't just stylish; they're also made of breathable mesh so they dry fairly quickly.
