The APEC summit also offers us the perfect chance to get a bit of RnR. And we know simply staying at home won't cut it for those who want to make the most of this break. Go out and explore, fellas! It might just be what you need to recharge your constantly stressed-out bodies.

With this in mind, we came up with a few travel ideas that might convince you to hit the road and spend the next few days somewhere you don't get to visit everyday.

METRO HAPPENINGS

If you're willing to brave the metro traffic in pursuit of something different, there are several events that you might want to check out within NCR, like the ones below:

We know Makati is one of the choke points of the APEC summit, but just in case you want to see a light show like no other, the Ayala Triangle Garden is now holding the Festival of Lights which will run until January 4, 2016 (6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the evening). Think of the visuals as your reward for surviving the impending Christmas carmageddon.
