How about we restrict the newbies from having the power to create topics???

Dapat at Least 1,000 (one thousand) post to have the right to create topics.  Siguro by that time ma-FEEL na nung tao na wag ng mag create ng double or even trople topics.

we do not restrict anyone... issues, topics, & ideas just pops up in an instant... we can't control it thus why restrict?

the 1000+ post policy was set for personal threads... because we think personal threads should be earned... however, not everybody that gets 1000+ post gets a personal thread right away... it just makes him/her eligible to have one... post should reflect sensibility... not just "hi" & "hello"...

for the instance of double thread... of course, the author of the thread should be responsible enough to check if there is an existing topic or something similar... but there are times that it really takes too much effort to back read given the hundred of topics... that's where we (the Mods) come in to assist...

we (mods) rarely restrict... i think prevent & educate is the proper term to use...
if you want to have what you've never had, then you must do what you've never done. if you only do what you've always been doing, you will only have what you've always been having...

whats the definition of newbie?..
1.) is it based on number of posts? - he/she maybe days old registered lang pero sipag magpost..
or..
2.) based on tenancy? - konti post pero taon na dito sa BB..

which is which?

i think the best way you can relate it to is being a freshman in college... some stand out... some just stay in the background.. but even so, both practically go through the same paths...

naku mga 800+ posts pa pla kelnagan ko....

Pag na-implement na.  But wala pang word kung under consideration ito.
So, anyone who has a minimum of 1 post can create a topic on his/her liking.

The intention of a bulletin board is for members to posts their ideas, feelings, aspirations or just exchange their opinions. Moreover, the board already has rules to follow with regards to posting and the like. One just need to read it and follow it. Its not how many post one has that determines if more or less he/she knows if he/she is just duplicating another thread. You need to backread to see if such topic already exists. But how many of us really backreads topics/threads or have the time to do it?

My opinion is that its not how many posts one has in the bb that prevents him from duplicating existing threads already. Its knowing the rules and following them. As for the 1000+ posts issue, as far as I know thats the required number of posts before one can have a personal thread in the board. Orange in a thread he created actually keep tracks of this personal threads. If there is a need to have a rule on how many post before one can start his/her own thread, then maybe not at 1000+ posts coz unless u spend 20-30 minutes atleast 5 days a week online sa BB, it will take you a few months before actually reaching that point. What if dial-up lang connection mo?

Bottomline, people not following rules is the culprit and not the number of posts one has made in the board. There is also such a thing as overload of rules and as they say, anything too much is bad. Besides, that is exactly why there are modz in the board, not 1 or 2 or 3 but several of them plus the admins to make sure things are done according to the rules of the FHM BB.

Ciao! :D

i second..

it would be less daunting for the mods to monitor everything here

i agree also.
ang daming newbie na nagcreate ng topic na either meron na or hindi naman kaagad napapansin

agree. dapat bigyan ng limitation ang mga newbie pra at least maintindihan muna nila ang mga rules before creating any new topics
