We wanted to strike up a good talk as soon as we finished taking her mug, but silly us for thinking we can have her all by ourselves. A platoon of fellow photographers surrounded her right after, prompting us to move aside. Rookie mistake, but it's gonna get better.
Why it’s FHM babe Arra Castro, someone who knows us by name! “Girl, you look fabulous in our April issue,” we said. The Hyundai Genesis model knew we’ve always been boleros with a catch, so she asked us what’s up. Turns out Arra knows us well enough – we wanted her to recommend some of her model friends present during the event, which she had no problem saying yes to. So all the babes you’re about to see next: her suggestion!
We’re on our third attempt, with Arra Castro previously pointing us to the most attractive car show models in plain sight. We made a detour to a fellow Hyundai girl, whose name we didn’t get a hold of but certainly reminded us of FHM babe Erica Arlante. We even inquired if it is indeed her, which ended up being awkward since she is not. A quick apology followed by a speedy snapshot and we took a hike.
Look who we found! That’s Rhea Nakpil of StarStruck fame, looking all grown up and now probably FHM-ready. It was quite nice to see a familiar face in there, so we chummed the Hyundai Fiantra model up as if we’ve known her for years. We actually did, technically, since we’ve been stalking her on Facebook, but she gave us the boot when we told her that. Ok fine, moving on…
Ladies and gentlemen, is it just us or this Chrysler Jeep girl reminds you of Lauren Young? Hoping to score at least a number, we told her that very line, which she amusingly just laughed off. We were however lucky enough to get a photo and catch her name: Usha Von Arx. Uber sosyal ng pangalan mo, miss! We said our goodbyes, and we proceeded with our spotting.
Yo girl, are you kidding me? It was maddening seeing a pretty face like this one, knowing we might not ever see it in the flesh again. Beauty like this, Google and Facebook just won’t do. Gawd, the torture! This by the way is 18-year old stunner Justine O’Palick, representing that equally stunning Chevrolet Camaro behind her. Hey Justine, creepy as it may, we will find a way to find you again.
Believe us when we say that this model’s got the cutest dimples in the world. That’s Alyzza Agustin, modeling for our colleagues at TopGear Philippines! We see a very bright FHM future for this babe – adorable façade, a charming personality, and most importantly, very pleasant curves. We wanted to spend more time with Alyzza, but TopGear peeps kept looking at us from a distance. Ok bros, your dibs.
Now who’s this cutie inside a blue car? We tapped on the windshield to let her know we wanted to go inside, but she was quite busy accommodating a test driving, specs-checking client, so we patiently waited for our turn. The heavens opened up the moment she opened the door to the passenger’s seat – girl looks as angelic as they come. We suddenly went speechless, took this photo, and walked away in a haze. We didn’t even get a name!
And we caught another FHM babe in Xy Martillo, looking marvelous in her short new ‘do! Hard at work modeling for the Hyundai I10, we decided to accompany the morena babe for old times’ sake. A good conversation sufficed, but just when we thought we’re going home with her digits, what she handed us instead were our Hyundai press kits. Fine, we forgot we’re actually on the job here.
Alas, our last attempt at picking a car show model up. We didn’t catch her name, but we think we did enough to catch her fancy instead. One way to do it right with a car show model is to talk about the vroom behind her, which in this case is a Subaru. Babe worked her charms off, convinced us to sign up, and we ended up feeling obligated to purchase a car we couldn’t afford to pay for the next fifty years. We ran out of fear and exited the premises. Maybe next year, maybe next year.
