For the Filipino metal-loving crowd, February 12, 2011 would forever be a special date, all thanks to Deftones.

The rock act whose hits include “My Own Summer,” “Be Quiet and Drive,” “Digital Bath,” and “Minerva” showed Manila why they’re one of the best and the most celebrated rock bands in the world when they played the World Trade Center in Pasay. This is a pitstop for their Diamond Eyes tour.

The band played at least two songs from each of their previous five albums, and seven songs from their latest, Diamond Eyes. "Back to School," which was one in the many setlists we checked online prior to the concert, was a complete surprise.

When the concert ended, and as the people exited, the response from the concert-goers was all pretty much the same: that was awesome. And it was something that’d be really hard to forget.

Below now are some pictures from the concert.
