From one troubled Barretto sister to the next: News going around the block is Marjorie Barretto has a photo scandal circulating the web.
The said photos, which made the Facebook rounds last weekend, allegedly shows the outgoing Caloocan City councilor in provocative poses, one of which with her flashing the goodies. Sources indicate that the sleazy photo was initially published on a tabloid last Friday, May 3.
"No. That's not me," Marjorie herself denied the accusation during a phone call with PEP Editor-in-Chief Jo-Ann Maglipon earlier today. "I would never do something like that. That's not my nature." The Barretto camp has since stated that they will conduct further investigation on the matter, adding that they plan to approach National Bureau of Investigation for assistance.
You'd think this website would be the perfect place to show that photo, except we're not doing that because Marjorie could use a break here (at quota na kami sa mga ganyan). But those who wish to see it are free to check it out on Google images. There you'll notice how this particular photo managed to push aside a sea of other Barretto scandals, particularly of Gretchen's and Claudine's.
Then after you've seen (we know you'll look for it), ask yourself this: Is it real?
"Parang may smudge and may shadow sa chin," says an art director who analyzed the photo for PEP. "Mukhang totoo yung katawan, parang nilagay yung ulo. Yung sa chin at neck parts, parang hindi consistent. Lumalabas na double ang chin niya, and it could be because hindi nalinis yung unang photos."
But the same article also had a graphic supervisor vouching for the photo's authenticity: "Kung ang pagbabasehan ay ang consistency ng light and shadow, maaaring totoo ang photos."
To the person who uploaded said photo, come on now. We're gaga over nude pictures as much as the next netizen, but to throw someone out there in the midst of her family troubles? That ain't right, brah. That ain't right. This scandal's probably going to make poor little Julia Barretto cry, and we ain't down with that.
In our opinion: a smiling Julia is better than a crying Julia
FHM Nation, we want to know what you think: Is that really Marjorie in there?
