Still the Sexiest Woman in the Land: Sam Pinto!
Ya'll must have heard this incredible news: Sam Pinto remains as the sexiest woman in the land this year!
The now two-time nation's finest is only the third babe to achieve this kind of feat in our magazine's history, and is the second to win the coveted title two years in a row after Katrina Halili's title run in 2006 and 2007. Having garnered 17 million votes via online, text, and print ballots, the young actress has now set in motion a new golden age of sexy.
It was a clincher between Sam and perennial top contender Angel Locsin, with the former narrowly beating the latter by a mere hundred grand. The Kapuso star finished the poll with 1,249,189 votes while the Kapamilya actress recieved 1,131,505 votes. Says Sam Pinto on her surprise victory last year: "Crazy. It's very overwhelming. After that, I’ve had work every single day. Which is actually very good, kasi yun talaga yung proof na ang lakas palang maging No. 1 ng FHM. Now I have new endorsements, and I’m doing FHM again!" That sound bite feels like heaven.
This year, we actually wanted to tell her ourselves, so we made our way to Nihon Bashitei restaurant, where Sam was having dinner, to deliver the good news. "Oh my God," she continuously blurted out, blushing like a cherry cheek and almost in tears off-cam. "I wasn't expecting it to happen today, so I still can't believe it!" she adds.
