Vic Sotto and the 5 Most Iconic SMB Endorsers

First and foremost, it’s about damn time. Vic Sotto is the new endorser of San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen. This makes perfect sense, and for a good reason.
Vic, much like the beer brand he’s endorsing, has been a staple in Filipino culture since venturing into the scene during the early 70s. Vic's status has long been iconic yet he remains to be very relevant in this generation, much like the beer.
The man is plausible in every way possible. Countless inumans have been spent talking about Eat Bulaga, the number of women he has wooed, “Ipagpatawad Mo,” and that movie with Cynthia Luster. Nothing but comic conversations, he brings.
Vic Sotto joins the ranks of five other San Miguel Pale Pilsen endorsers of the past, all of which have contributed to today's colorful beer culture:

Bert “Tawa” Marcelo
Bert’s persona as a Filipino everyman earned him several spots in SMB’s line of TVCs in the 70s up to the late 80s, most notably alongside Subas Herrero in “Boss”, “Bruno”, and citing the value of kaibigan equals kautangan in 1983’s “Kaibigan” commercial. Bert’s greatest legacy however would include a few other regulars, surveyed as the most iconic SMB commercial ever made.
