Less than a year ago, we chanced upon a book that changed our lives. It was called Suplado Tips.
Just by the title alone, you knew that it is a very deep book.
It delved into the deepest recesses of the human psyche, and examined the depths of our soul, to produce a massive collection of self-help tips like no other.
Its mantra was loud and clear: “Daig ng suplado ang guwapo.” So touched were we by this exquisite piece of literature that we even acted out the book to enlighten you more.
Suplado Tips went on to become a bestseller, and the rest as they say is history.
Or so we thought. Aside from being the founding father of the philosophy of suplado-ism, we now know that the author, the prodigious Stanley Chi, is also well-versed in the art of making the most out of his book’s bestselling reputation.
Because coming out in February is Suplado Tips 2, which is, yep, you guessed it right, the much-awaited sequel.
Like the first book, this one features a wealth of tips to help you become even more of a suplado, which as we’ve also learned in the first book, is “the new sexy.”
One such tip goes: “Kung siksikan sa LRT, tapos may biglang nagpabango, paringgan mo ng, “Ayos, amoy pokpok nako!” At the very least, you’ll get slapped by the girl, which at the most basic, is still female contact. So technically, you still got some.
Mr. Chi is a very smart guy, and knows that tips simply won’t cut it this time around. So he’s bringing in some explosive new gimmicks in the form of short-graphic novels using real-life photographs, and fan-art from the now massive congregation of Suplado fans.
According to rumors, buying the book also increases your chances of being inducted into the official Suplado Society of the Philippines—a very prestigious group from the sound of it.
Heck, you even get to fill up the book’s “slambook” page, which we figure will be collected by Stanley Chi himself after a set period of time as a test to see just how suplado you’ve really become.
Mr. Chi is believed to have very lofty standards when it comes to being a suplado, so you’d best get started right away and nab the book when Suplado Tips 2 comes out in February 2012.
