Para Kay B (O Kung paano dinevastate ng pag-ibig ang 4 out of 5 sa atin) by Ricky Lee
May 28, 2009   |   1953 views

This is famous scriptwriter Ricky Lee’s first novel and what a debut it is. The book’s theme (love) hooks the readers immediately. His use of taglish makes it an easy read. His characters meanwhile, make Para Kay B not just entertaining but deeply engaging. If you’re a regular teleserye viewer, Para Kay B will strike you as oddly familiar; Lee’s settings, dialogues, and conflicts will make you feel as though you were simply watching another one of his television fare. Sure, are odd moments in the book, like the last chapter that feels a wee bit too indulgent. But over all, Para Kay B is a nice and pleasant book ride. Think of its characters as your friends and its many highlights, stopovers and pit stops of your trip.
