The recently concluded CELManila called on tech companies to bring in their big guns: their coolest products and the most awesome of services for all the tech-loving folks to see.

The three-day event was loaded with special activities. What did FHM particularly like? The robot demonstration, the Memorex karaoke contest (which brought about 3 or 5 renditions of Alicia Keys’ "If I Ain’t Got You"), and a Cosplay show. But the biggest reason? The gadgets of course. Allow us to list four new toys, that we seriously, seriously want for Christmas.

Nikon D5000
It’s nowhere near being the best of the best, but for anyone who’s just trying out photography as a hobby, the D5000 is such a nice investment. It features Nikon’s EXPEED image processor and a 12.3-megapixel CMOS sensor. Along with Nikon’s easy-to-understand auto-exposure settings, getting pro-looking shots becomes as easy as 1-2-3.

At its price (SRP is around P50,000 but some stores will sell it for less than that), the D5000’s swivel-LCD ability and 1280 x 720 video recording feature make this camera a very desirable option for beginners and intermediate users alike.
