Dell Adamo XPS
And here’s yet another gadget that will cost you an arm and a leg. The Dell Adamo XPS is the world’s thinnest laptop at just 9.99 mm thin. From the moment you try to open it up, it becomes clear that this is definitely a cut above the clutter.
When closed, the keyboard area of the laptop is safely tucked along the left and right ends of the LCD area. The joint where the keyboard and the LCD sections meet is located around an eighth of the way from the bottom, so when you open it up, the bottom part of the LCD acts as some sort of a stand.
Simply put, this laptop looks like it’s from another era. But whether it’s open or closed, one thing that’s clear is that the Adamo XPS is a head turner. It’s fairly powerful as well with a low-voltage high-efficiency 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, and the all-new Windows 7 OS. The Adamo XPS won’t be released until the end of the year, but we’re all crazy for it already.
Cignal HD
While this one is technically not a gadget, we still want it. Gents, meet Cignal HDm, one of the first HD service providers in the country. Their service gives you access to real HD channels, and not the same old standard definition channels that you’ve been watching on your HDTV.
If you’ve been complaining why the HBO movies and NBA games look worse than on your normal TV, then it’s time you got Cignal HD. The Philippines has been slow to the HD revolution, so Cignal HD definitely represents a sizeable leap forward.
