It looks like the game has also become a flying squirrel simulator, hasn’t it? Well, after a half-decade hiatus, it better have a lot of new tricks up its warmers. From what we’ve seen, the outrageous "uber" tricks and valley-wide leaps of faith are all back. What we also know is that the online play has become a key element. It features RiderNet, which tracks your other SSX-playing friends, makes it easier to set up games, and see each other’s racing stats. SSX will also have Global Events which are worldwide contests that pit you against the best of the game.


Now, unless the global climate really goes haywire, and makes it snow in our country, SSX is still the closest we’ll get to riding a snowboard. So, we’re marking our calendars as SSX comes out on February 28 for the PS3.
