Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

The story takes place after the events of MGS3: Snake Eater and MGS: Portable Ops and revolves around Naked Snake and his comrades, including Paz Ortega Andrade and Kazuhira Miller.
Characters such as Strangelove, Chico, and Coldman all sound like mandatory bosses, but we will bet you that there are bigger names to ponder here as you play the game along.

All stealth suits scrapped in exchange for traditional cargo uniform, Naked Snake isn’t afraid to get dirty, and we mean that literally.

The new game however features four new types of playable Snakes: Battle Dress Snake, Jungle Fatigues Snake, Stealth Suit Snake, and the original Naked Snake. All four have different pros and cons that revolve around speed, stealth, armor, and weapons.

The game will feature emphasis on cooperative game play. Two players can be played on main missions, while up to four are allowed on boss missions.

Due to its co-op game play, several actions involving two players are now available such as cover-fire, closing doors, performing CPR, and acting as spotter. How about that: the game’s story is getting real, and the game play is not far behind.

Some control changes are made this time around for the PSP, such as the directional pad being used for co-op actions, while multiple melee actions are now in the R button. But if you’ve enjoyed the MGS: Portable Ops type of controls, you have the option to immediately switch it back.

The MGS: Peace Walker demo showed hints and glimpses of tactical SWAT game play, and we were thoroughly amused with the little things, such as the extended use of cardboard boxes.

This one and MGS: Rising has been buzzing our game radars for so long we don’t even know what to think anymore. With Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker finally hitting the shelves come April 25, the big question of how this epic war came about will find its answers.
