Good news bad news
LUIS: I guess it’s always going to be politics and the economy that tallies as bad news, nothing’s ever good about it. Then it’s Pinoy achievements in the international scene that counts as good news. I’m sure there are other news to feel good and bad about, but those two are predominantly what makes the cut.
ERWIN: There is no good news, all news should be entertaining so all news is bad. News is entertainment first and foremost. All news has to be bad because that’s what people want to hear. Do you really care if there are good people out there? All news is bad. Ako that’s 13 years of media experience talking, anyone who tries to deny that should take a look around, or look at the news and the papers everyday.
Local basketball scene
QUARK: Basketball is still exciting, especially with the UAAP, the whole Ateneo and La Salle feud, especially if one of them is your alma mater. I don’t think boxing has overshadowed basketball in terms of the local arena. How many famous pinoy boxers can you really name aside from Pacquaio. Even if it has a following, for a while badminton was even considered a “national sport” just because a lot of people were into it, and it was suddenly hip. Pero I think pinoys will always love basketball.
Sadly, PBA is slowly declining. Laban nalang kasi siya ng mga imports.
