INTERVIEW: Lou E. Albano

Your songs are reminiscent of Sugarfree. Have you ever been told this? Do you mind these comparisons?
Ha ha! No, I don't mind, not at all. I'd take that as a compliment any day. I'm probably my brother's biggest fan. Ebe and I, along with our other brothers and sisters, grew up listening to and loving the same music from The Beatles to Oasis to Nirvana to Yano to the Eheads etc. I wouldn't be surprised if people hear similarities in our music. Okay lang yun. We both just love making music at sobrang nakakatuwa na may mga napapasaya kaming mga tao.
How big an influence is your brother to you and your band? If he is an influence to begin with.
Ebe earned his stripes. He paid his dues. He worked his ass off from day zero. He had to overcome a lot of challenges to be where he is now. I draw strength from that. Nauna sya sa akin nang kaunti and he showed me the way. And yes, we love each other very much. Ha ha!
In the magazine, you are all very wary of being called a supergroup. If you consider Cambio as the superband in the land, where would you place Peryodiko in the list?
Hmm, nakakainis yang tanong mo! Ha ha ha! Ewan ko.
What song do you think best represents peryodiko?
Kumapit ka Tuwing Lunes
And best represents the record?
Kumapit ka Tuwing Lunes pa rin. Trivia lang: We were considering that song as the album title. Ha ha ha!
Lastly, what question do you wish you’d never be asked ever again by the press?
Marami. Ha ha ha! But it would be "so, what kind of music do you play?" He he.
