Fredrick Haren and his Idea Book

Do you think folks trying to survive the daily hassles can appreciate this creativity-training?
If you're super rich, you don't really need to be creative; you can just buy whatever you want. You're having a party, and you want Russian models, you can just call someone and have the money work for you.

But if you're poor and you are creative, you can find some way to work around a problem without having the need for bags of money. The thing with the poor, though, is that they think they have to do things in a specific way. But it doesn't have to be like that all the time. I heard a story about a farmer in Sri Lanka. His land was almost barren but next to his plot of land was a sawmill to fertilize his land. His land became fertile, and he was able to increase his produce. No one told him how to do that, but what he had was a good idea that benefitted him in the end.

So you're simply challenging people to think beyond the typical.
Creativity is problem-solving. If you are creative, you solve more of your problems, your life becomes easier. Everyone understands this, but not a lot of people are doing things to develop his/her creativity. Some people try to live by with the excuse that they are really not creative, but that's bullshit. Creativity can be developed, though most people don't bother to try.So that's the purpose of the Idea Book. As a training tool, it challenges people to think more, live a little bit differently, question more, and be more creative.

What advice can you give to people whose idea wells seemed to have dried up?
You mean, apart from buying the book? Ha ha ha! Rethink your creative process. Sit down. Write the ten best ideas you've had in your life. Think about the time when those ideas came to your mind. Think about the circumstances that surrounded you when those ideas popped up. Find the common denominator in those circumstances, and that should be your creative process. Doing these will help you a lot.
