Patayin Sa Sindak si Barbara (1974)
If you know your local TV as well as you claim, you'd be familiar with
Patayin Sa Sindak si Barbara is. ABS-CBN did the toprating, Kris Aquino-bannered, 15-episode miniseries based on the film. Before that, there was also the 1995 film remake, which starred Dawn Zulueta and Lorna Tolentino.

This horror masterpiece was actually first produced in 1974. Directed by the great Celso Ad Castillo, and starring Ms. Susan Roces, the original Patayin scared the socks off of bell-bottom wearing moviegoers in the '70s. For the uninitiated, the movie revolves around two sisters who are in love with one man. The three have quite the ominous love triangle, with one sister, driven mad by jealousy, committing suicide as the film progresses. But, of course, she'll come back, still dead but hellbent on haunting Barbara and her man until she exacts her revenge.

Impaktita (1989)
Who doesn't love
Jean Garcia? There's no way we were going to leave out the movie that launched the beloved actress and FHM babe into the limelight. Directed by Peque Gallaga, the same director that gave us Tiyanak, Impaktita gave movie audiences more scares than they could handle. And though the directorial duties were pretty much in safe hands, there were some questions whether Jean could handle the lead role at first. But let us answer that for you now: She could, and she did.

Jean is a shy girl in Impaktita—and an aswang dig that about her apparently. Every night she gets visited by one, but what’s curious is she isn’t being killed, mauled, or disemboweled by the devilish beast. It turns out Jean is actually one of them, and she herself will turn into one once she turns 18.
