By the time you read this, the MMFF parade has already graced the streets of Metro Manila. Sadly for us here at FHM, we couldn’t catch it.

But the cream of the crop has yet to come, and each of us, admit it or not, is dying to see an entry or three.

So here's a quick guide to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. Plan your schedule, argue what to see this year and head out to the nearest cinema in your neighborhood! Enjoy!

Mano Po 6: My Mother
Starring: Sharon Cuneta, Christopher de Leon, Zsa Zsa Padilla
Directed by: Joel Lamangan

Quick Peek: A mother’s love is put to the test as she struggles to keep her family intact, herself included.
What to expect: Based on the series’ past efforts, practicing family values are what Mano Po films are always about. May it be in a comedy, a love story, or a drama like this one. Just like past Mano Po incarnations, this one also boasts of an all-star, award-winning cast. It sure looks like a winner already.

Ang Panday (2009)
Starring: Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Philip Salvador, Rhian Ramos
Directed by: Mac Alejandre and Rico Gutierrez

Quick Peek: A blacksmith named Flavio possesses the dagger that will help him hold his own against a greater evil in the form of Lizardo, saving his ladylove Maria in the process.

What to expect: While we are not necessarily expecting anything new in the plot, Ramon “Bong” Revilla’s MMFF films are always big on special effects.
