4. "Making Love Out of Nothing at All"
Greatest Hits (1983)
Air Supply

We’re not quite sure how the girl manages to do a cartwheel on this needlessly meandering song. Any club dancer, for that matter, would have a hard time interpreting a song that “doesn’t know” what to do about a lot of things. Vocalist Russell Hitchcock, outdoing himself with a stellar helium-induced performance, rattles off a lot of things he can’t do, and that’s kind of a put-off. But then we get it: When Russell does tell us what he can do, his band launches into the stratosphere and so the girl follows! And it’s no ordinary cartwheel you’ll be seeing. The girl would go to the far end of the stage and run to the other side, flipping herself up at maximum velocity! The whole experience is quite like watching Chinese gymnasts doing floor exercises at the last Olympics. Often, we would get carried away by the girl’s performance and do back-up vocal duties to Russell.

5. "It Must Have  Been Love"
Pretty Woman OST (1990)
Roxette

This one is close to the hearts of club dancers all over because it comes from the Pretty Woman soundtrack, and in the movie, Julia Roberts plays a prostitute who is swept off her feet by multi-millionaire Richard Gere—what you would call “the dream.” Says DJ Errol of Classmates, “This song has been on the playlist of most DJs since Pretty Woman became a box office hit in the late ’80s. Kahit noong hindi pa ako DJ, noong pumupunta pa lang ako sa bars, pinapatugtog na talaga yan. Regular na talaga.” Sad news is, the song’s popularity has faded through the years. It’s rarely played now according to Errol. “Yung mga old-school performers na lang ang gumagamit ng kantang yan.”

6. "Apologize"
Timbaland Presents Shock Value (2007)
One Republic
DJ Errol says performers scramble to reserve this song for their show. “Yan yung most requested song to dance to ng girls ngayon. Kasi rito sa Classmates, may exclusivity. Pag na-reserve na ng isang performer yung kanta, hindi na puwedeng gamitin pa ng iba.” The girls’ eagerness to make a sexy interpretation of the song could be attributed to the song’s soothing combination of histrionic theme and loud RnB-esque beats. It gives them room for a very sensual, and at the same time, acrobatic performance.
