Independently released
This anger, hate, aggression, (or heck!) constipation has truly transmogrified Queso into something else. Right now, it’s safe to say the band is truly hard to understand. It’s as if the band has left the sane music system of melody, measures, and comprehensible lyrics for a more primal grunt. They’ve gone seriously into the tribal nomadic mode with the heavy percs and screamer Ian’s pseudo-chants. They name a song after a Middle Eastern pagan god (“Tiamat”) and similar incomprehensibles (“Katchatore,” “Inkdah”). What is obvious, though, is that the band is bigger and heavier than they themselves never thought possible. We’ll be waiting for the time when these kids turn 60—let’s see how they’ll be rocking us then!
