1984 UAAP
UST Glowing Goldie Pido Jarencio on his one-on-one battles against UE hotshot Allan Caidic

“Basta kami ang magkalaban ni Allan, high-scoring game ang nangyayari. On the last game of our 1984 championship series, I scored 48 points and he tallied 46 for UE. Although I outscored him, natalo pa rin kami sa kanila. But our rivalry was purely sa court lang. Iba talaga kapag dala mo ang pangalan ng school mo. Hindi man ako naging successful as a college player as far as winning the championship was concerned, I’m happy naaalala pa rin ang story namin ni Allan.”

2005 UAAP
DLSU official loses cool, hits King Tamaraw!

Game one of the 2005 UAAP finals was marked by a furious comeback by the Arwind Santos-led FEU Tamaraws. After the game, Santos and La Salle’s Joseph Yeo got into a heated exchange. La Salle assistant team manager Manny Salgado stood up to pacify the feuding stars. But, according to him, Santos welcomed him with “slanderous remarks.” In a fit of rage, Salgado punched Santos at the back of his head before fleeing back to the La Salle bench. Two days later, the UAAP board banned Salgado from all UAAP activities for life.
