6 Top Moments at the Oscars 2012

The film industry’s most-anticipated awards night happened yesterday at what used to be known as the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles (because Kodak filed for bancruptcy, the theatre is said to be called the Hollywood and Highland Theatre). A lot of surprises filled the ceremony, giving Hollywood elitists a run for their reputation.
The 84th Academy Awards wasn’t only a chance for winning celebrities to see their paychecks skyrocket or play dress-up. It was also a platform for humorous and tasteless celebrities to make a fool out of themselves—in style.
From Sacha Baron Cohen painting the red carpet ‘grey’ to Angelina Jolie’s heavy leg exposure, many thought this year’s affair saw a lot of things happen that you wouldn't normally see in the Academy Awards.
Instead of stating the obvious highlights such as the Cirque du Soleil performance depicting a decade of memorable films, or Billy Crystal’s opening monologue, below are some of the best moments you might have missed.

1) Sacha Baron Cohen spills ashes on American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. Tina Fey joins in on the fun.
Sacha Baron Cohen made sure to taint the most glamorous red carpet event in Hollywood by dressing up as his character in ‘The Dictator,’ with an urn of Kim Jong Il’s fake ashes on his arm. In an amusingly mindless action, Cohen “accidentally” spills the remains on Ryan Seacrest’s suit, making the high profile event seem like the MTV movie awards for a minute.
Tina Fey then leaned to dip her fingers on the ‘spilled remnants’ of the Korean dictator and made a cross symbol on her forehead. “You’re a victim of comedy!” screamed Fey to the dumbfounded host.
