Life Lessons We've Learned from TV's Best Dads
It’s that time of year when we pay credit to the man who stuck it out and saw us through through first bike falls, black-eyes, trips to the principal office, lost basketball games, and the resultant joblessness. Dads, they're cool. They give us the best piece of advice, and they make the most fun out of a shitty situation.
We adore the following 7 dads because like our own, they unknowingly give us life lessons we keep coming back to. The first of which, of course, is humor. You can't go through life without it. Thank you, dear sirs! For making TV hella fun.

John Puruntong, John En Marsha
Played by Dolphy
Best Dad Awardee because: Despite his mother-in-law constantly emasculating him for his lack of funds, John remained stalwart head of his brood and dealt with his interfering monster-in-law with a sense of humor.
Lesson learned: Marrying into a rich family need not be daunting, as long as you take decent care of your wife and eventual kids via honest means. And like Dely Atay-atayan always says: “Kaya John, magsumikap ka!” Work hard enough and you’ll soon be able to stuff your mother-in-law’s trap with cash enough to shut her up.
