Mardy and Marsio are two fun-loving brothers from Jakarta. In their youth, they spent a great deal of time together, even living together for a while in the US, but since then, work and their families have kept them from spending much time together. Their solution? Apply to be contestants on The Amazing Race Asia so they can spend some quality time and reconnect again as brothers!

Although only born two years apart, there is a strong dynamic that sets these two apart. Mardy, the older of the two thinks he's more outgoing, although younger brother Marsio thinks big brother is actually a spoilt rich brat, while he himself is more down-to-earth and “down and dirty”. Mardy is quick to defend himself, saying that he likes “the outdoors, adventure stuff and going to mountains.”
