She added, “Joe Jer and I were in disbelief but we were also sad at the same time. We enjoyed the journey so much that it was sad to step on that mat, knowing it was going to be the last time.”
With the same sentiment, Joe Jer agreed, “Winning The Amazing Race Asia has been a life-changing experience for me. It has given me the confidence to believe that I am stronger than I think, that I have more will power than I could possibly imagine. This female duo are self-confessed ‘Amazing Race freaks’ who have gained a loyal fan base themselves, keeping viewers glued to the screen with their light-hearted banter and easy-going camaraderie that viewers could easily identify with.
Even the ‘eliminator’, host Allan Wu was touched to see how this twosome kept their cool and persevered through all the ups and downs in the race. He remarked, “A lot of us were rooting for Zabrina and Joe Jer to win the race not only because they would make history by becoming the first all-female team to ever win the race, but simply because they really beat the odds to be one of the final three teams. Also, they just stayed positive the entire time through thick and thin."
