Nissan Grand Livina
October 31, 2008

Power comes from a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that, if early impressions are to be believed, is more than eager to haul the Grand Livina to grin-inducing speeds. Inside the car, where the bulk of the judgment will come from, it is splendid. Nissan outdid themselves by creating an interior that will lead you into thinking you paid a lot more. Leather is present in all seven seats in the top variant and sporty touches are reminiscent of Nissan’s flagship 350Z sports car.
The ace in their sleeve, however, is the magic catchphrase these days: fuel economy. Nissan claims the six-speed manual version can do 14-to-17 kilometers per liter of fuel. These features and amenities attest to the Grand Livina’s goal, to dethrone the Innova and convince the buying public they can transport the Filipino family best. It’s a tough challenge, but it looks like they have the right vehicle for the job. - Dinzo Tabamo
