Cyril Locsin - FHM 100% Hottie April 2012

You may have caught a glimpse of Cyril Locsin already.

She after all is one half of the lovely pair of girls who cavorted around in tight shirts and short shorts in that FHM-made music video for “Golddigger.” She was the one in blue.

She had surprised us during that shoot, telling us that she really only dances when she’s had a little too much to drink. This turned out to be completely untrue. She was already shaking her hips to the blaring music no sooner than we had poured her a shot. The director had set her loose. “Just feel the music,” he told Cy. Which is exactly what she did. She wasn’t Lisa Macuja by any stretch of the imagination, but she did have something that any successful performer should have: presence.

And these pictures should be enough proof. It was almost the same script during the Hottie shoot: “First time ko magpa-sexy ng ganito,” her body language seemed to project prior to the first clicks of the camera. Uh-oh, we had quietly told ourselves, “This is going to be a long shoot.”

Then she turns it on.

Like she was mererly feigning the entire time, she just suddenly turns it on. From the slightly unsure girl-next-door to all-out babe, Cy transforms in the snap of a finger. Perfect. We love a girl who has an uncanny way of overturning expectations.

When did you become aware that you were pretty?
Bata pa ko. Siguro since Grade 4. Kasi simula Grade 4 hanggang 4th year high school, muse ako lagi. Ha ha, at siyempre feel na feel ko naman! Minsan nakakasawa rin, kasi minsan gusto kong mag-run for president or vice president, pero wala eh, pang beauty lang! Siyempre may brains rin naman, no, pero hindi talaga ako naboboto sa ganun e. Ako ‘yung pinakamaganda siguro, kaya ganun.

Such humility! Now you’re going to be a Vixen, a muse for condoms. How did we get here?
Ha ha! I received a PM from a manager. Biglaan lang. I received it on a Monday, tapos the next day, go-see na. Since wala naman akong gagawin, pumunta ako. Tapos yun, nakuha ako.

Prior to that, what were you up to?
I was taking up HRM but I stopped muna after a year. And then, lots of photoshoots to build up my portfolio. Tapos, a lot of promo-girl work. Yung pinakamadalas siguro is the one I do for a cigarette brand. Dinadala kami sa mga bars, tapos we’d try to sell cigarettes. Para kaming takatak girls na sexy. Ha ha!

Interesting things tend to happen when girls like you hang out in a bar. Have any stories you’d like to share?
Ay wala pa masyado eh. The closest thing to that is that minsan they try to make me smoke the cigarettes. “Try lang daw,” pero hindi kasi talaga ako nagyoyosi eh!

Bago ‘yung next question mo, can I just say, hindi pala ako sanay sa mga ganitong interview! Feel ko artista ako eh, naiilang ako. Ha ha!

Better get used to it if you’re going to be a Vixen. Are you not ready to be famous?
Handa na, siyempre! Ginusto ko ‘to eh, eh ‘di pangatawanan ko na, ‘di ba? Dumami sana projects ko after nito. Ha ha!

And masarap lang ‘yung feeling na may nakakakilala sayo na ibang tao eh. Parang artista.

Gusto mong mag artista?
Ay ayoko rin. Wala akong balak, kasi ‘pag artista ka, hindi ka na makakagalaw sa public places. Kunwari sa mall, kailangan nagtatago pa sila, naka-shades naka-cap. Mahirap yata yung ganun. Sa modeling, sakto lang na may nakakakilala sa ‘yo.

Bukod dun, may isa pang problema: hindi ako marunong umarte. Kontento na ko sa pagiging model.

Modeling, it is. Which FHM model or Vixen would you then pattern yourself after?
Si Jahziel Manabat and si Linda Persson.

Why Jahziel?
Kasi super famous na siya, at saka ok yung personality niya. Kahit sikat na siya, mukha pa rin siyang mabait. If I were to reach that level, promise ko, mabait pa rin ako.

And why Linda?
Ang galing niya kasing dalhin yung sarili niya eh. Marunong siya. Ang galing, kahit nakahubad na siya, hindi siya mukhang bastusin. Kaya ko siya gusto.

Both are quite daring. Think you can top them?
Sa ngayon, hindi pa siguro. Malay niyo sa susunod ‘di ba? Intay lang kayo. This is my most daring shoot so far. First time niyo ko makita mag-topless.

And how did that feel?
The usual na kaba, nandun. Nakakatakot. Pero the entire crew was very professional, kaya naging masaya na rin. Eventually, nahanap ko yung comfort zone ko. From that point on, ok na ko, nadala ko na yung sarili ko ng maayos.

Nung naging makulit na ko kanina, yun, ok na ako nun.

First times tend to feel as such. Is the feeling comparable to that first sexual experience you were giggling about earlier?
Ha ha! I don’t know how to answer that. Ok, ganito, ang alam ko lang, itong shoot hindi masakit!  

Actually, my first time was with a girl. Friends lang kami nagsimula nitong girl na ‘to. I wasn’t even 18 then. Ayun, naging close kami, naging kami, tapos yun na nga umabot na sa “super close” moment namin. If you know what I mean. Ha ha!

Ang nakakatawa, walang bi sa aming dalawa. It was both our first time, at sobrang attracted lang talaga ako sa kanya nun. Ang ganda rin niya kasi, and feeling adventurous kami nung panahon na yun.

Are you still with that girl?
Wala na, break na kami. We lasted for a year and three months. I consider it my first serious relationship, although I’ve had a boyfriend in the past before. Pero bata pa ako nung sa unang boyfriend ko eh, so medyo laro laro lang yun.  

How do two women break up? Is it any different from the usual boy-girl relationship?
Nag-selos siya. Tamang hinala na may boyfriend ako kahit wala naman. So, basically, wala siyang pinagkaiba sa usual boy-girl set-up. Pareho lang siya.

Do you like boys more now?
Oo naman! And after nun, wala na akong nagustuhang girl…paminsan minsan nalang. Ha ha!

Ok, last question. Ever made the first move on a guy?
Yeah, pero hindi ko i-rereveal kung paano. Secret ko na yun!
