Exactly. I guess we’ll just have to break the news to her slowly but surely. My dad is of a different generation but my grandma, wow, ibang generation na talaga siya.

Did breaking the news of this FHM shoot involve you sitting with them over dinner, after Church, then sneaking in this bit at the last minute?
Well, I did tell him and the family over dinner after the details of the shoot had been threshed out. Wala, tahimik lang sila. And my dad looked a little bit apprehensive when Tito Arnold (Vegafria) floated the idea of an FHM cover to us. Tapos noon text na siya nang text, “Meron ka bang picture? Meron ka bang picture? MMS mo sa’kin!”

Your family is something of a showbiz royalty. Will this career move result in expulsion from the family or matatanggalan ka ba ng mana?
Ha ha ha! For sure, magkaka-tampuhan at some point kasi iba rin yung taste ko. When I look at past FHM covers I always see how they’re hot and bagay sa kanila but they don’t see it that way. They’d tell me, “Kaya mo ba yan?” Siyempre iba yung dating sa kanila kasi I’m the daughter.
