So now you’re known everywhere as a host, but let’s not forget that you started with action in MTV Rouge.
Yes, that was my first job—a secret agent, ha ha! I was a spy and my cover-up was being part of a rock band. I was the bassist. That was a long time ago! Things have changed, many things happened after. But it was a good start. Plus, it was done in Singapore, so I was able to compare early on how things were done here and there.
From a drama series to hosting stints—how did the transformation occur?
When I got back here, I thought I was going to be more of an actress. The hosting thing just sort of happened. I always wanted to be an MTV VJ and I was really lucky I was able to be one. So the time Sarah Meier and KC Montero were there, that was great. At the same time, I got a gig on Extra Challenge for six months. When I went to ABS-CBN, I did a sitcom with Aga Muhlach in OK, Fine. I did Breakfast. I did PBB, then I did Wowowee. And after that, host na talaga ako.
