How does it feel to be the first Filipina to do a sexy pictorial on SCTEx?
Good vibes lahat. I actually volunteered to stand atop the steel fence dun sa gitna ng SCTEx kasi feeling ko ang saya kung gagawin ko yun. Compared to my debut, na nagandahan rin ako, I’m more confident now. In 2007, hindi pa ako marunong mag-emote at nahihiya pa akong mag-pose nang sexy. Wala tuloy emosyon ang mukha ko. Now I know how to express myself hindi lang physically but emotionally as well. This time, when you asked kung puwedeng tanggalin yung strap nung swimsuit and lingerie ko, game ako.

Your friends Katrina Halili and Diana Zubiri once said that just like them you’d be declared the nation’s sexiest someday. Were you surprised it didn’t happen last year?
Hindi naman. I’ve always known na mga FHM readers lang ang makapagde-decide nito, which is only fair. Basta ayoko lang umasa dahil ayoko ring ma-disappoint sakali mang hindi ako mag-No. 1. Siyempre, napapa-wow akong malaman that many people, including my friends, believe in me. Doon pa lang natutuwa na ako talaga.

What does the title Philippines’ Finest mean to you now?
It only hit me when it was officially announced sa presscon. Sobrang bigat ng title na ito. You’ve made me more conscious about how I look. Not that it’s bad ha, kaya lang ngayon parang I feel pressured na mag-maintain ng figure. It’s also overwhelming na palagi nang nakakabit sa akin yung honor. It’s one thing to be called sexy, pero laking iba pag turing sa’yo the sexiest. Blessing at reward talaga ito para sa akin. I’m sincerely thankful talaga.

How do you assess the journey that has been your career so far?
Sa ABS-CBN ko na-experience yung mga bagay na gusto kong mangyari sa career ko noon. Gusto ko talagang ipakita ang kakayahan ko sa acting. I’m proud of everything they have asked me to do. Hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin nakakalimutan ng mga tao ang Eva Fonda. Na-nominate pa ang show at ako sa Best Actress sa Seoul International Drama Awards 2009. Happy din akong naging tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang takbo ng career kahit maraming dumaang intriga. Awa ng Diyos, hindi naman ako nalaos. I love that ABS-CBN didn’t give up on me at nariyan pa rin sila para sa akin.
