Your face looks different each time, from what we’ve seen in your past TV and print appearances.
Must be the makeup!
Which look do you prefer the most, though?
I really like smoky eyes in terms of makeup. I like to enhance my eyes more than my lips. Parang hindi naman kaakit-akit yung lips ko, ha ha!
But on a regular day do we see you masked in different hues?
I wear makeup na kasi all the time during taping so I let my skin breathe naman. On regular days, I don’t wear makeup at all.
So how do we know it’s you we’re bumping into?
If you see someone who looks like me and doesn’t wear makeup at all.
Okay, to make things easier for us—where do you usually hang out?
What do you mean hang out? Naks. At home! I go out once in a while. I prefer to watch bands than go barhopping.
We second the motion. Which bands do you follow around?
I really like Pinikpikan, Spy, SinoSikat, Kjwan.
It doesn’t show. You’re the last thing that’d pop in our head when we hear the word “ethnic.”
Kaya nga you won’t recognize me when I’m out. Ha ha!
You don’t look purely Filipina. Care to enlighten us on your, well, ethnicity?
Well my grandfather, papa Eddie Mesa, he’s half Swiss, and my lola, mama Rose, she’s all Spanish. But I’m Filipino all the way!
And you’re an Eigenmann, that alone should explain it.
It just happens to be my last name.
A lot of people in the business actually bear the same surname.
Well, most of us are in showbiz. Sid Lucero is my brother! My dad, my mom also—Bing Pimentel—and then my cousins are in the business too. Sina Geoff, Ryan, kuya Gabs. Andi’s my sister.
Do you believe acting is really in your blood?
I think so. In my mind and in my heart.
So how was it like? Was it instilled in you at a very young age?
You know, the funny thing is I didn’t want talaga. I wanted to host—if there was anything na gagawin kong pang-showbiz, hosting eh, kasi ang daldal ko. Kung anu-ano lang pinagsasabi ko. But I didn’t consider acting until recently. I had a lot of opportunities when I was younger but I concentrated more on my modeling. Pero ngayong ginagawa ko na siya, I really like it. It’s fun.
