Not a lot of people know you were born in Baguio. How was life like then before you entered showbiz?
It was hard because my dad’s Chinese and he was very strict. Not that things are a lot easier now that I’m in showbiz, especially with the intrigues, but I have more freedom, at least. Kasi I started as a model, so I didn’t really expect that I’d become a celebrity. It was boss Vic [del Rosario of Viva] who discovered me. If it weren’t for him, I would’ve just stuck to modeling.
