You’ve been in this industry for almost 10 years now…
Lord! I know!

What has changed in the industry since?
Everything. The amount of movies produced, for one thing. With piracy, humina talaga ang industry in general. I don’t think understand how grave the situation is. Also, when I started there was only one or two teleseryes on TV, and almost all the movies were sexy. Now, it seems like everyone can’t get enough of teleseryes and sexy films are out. Now all the films are horror, suspense thrillers, romantic, or independent. At ang daming bagong mga bata! Especially because of all these reality shows.

Were things better before, then?
I think so. Piracy killed so many things in so many ways. And before the reality shows, networks were more focused developing and cultivating talents. Not that we’re not doing it now, but with the reality TV craze parang isang bagsakan na lang. Everyone had to adjust to the industry getting weaker. We’re still treated very well, but I can’t say that I’m not feeling the crunch either.
