It was Seiko Films boss Robbie Tan and my manager who thought I should change my name. Because the “Falcon” thing sounded like an action star’s moniker.

Oo nga eh. They actually thought of using Francine Da Silva, But then of course we had Dennis Da Silva who’s into all sorts of trouble so hindi maganda. Until they finally settled with Prieto. They said it was for the better because my name was sort of gasgas na raw. You see, I’ve actually been in showbiz since I was eight. I did have a soap opera on ABC 5 then, Criselda, and I got the title role. But before that I had appeared in movies as Gretchen Barretto’s sister in Hindi Laruan Ang Puso and as the young Narda to Nanette Medved’s Darna.
