What were you up to before joining this sexy, um, pageant?
I just got here from Dubai. I studied elementary and high school there. When I got here I took care of our family business for a while. Hanggang sa napunta na ako sa modeling. I plan to go back to school next year.
Why do you think did they vote you in?
Yung iba siguro nagagandahan sa akin—buti na lang, ha ha. Some people naman, nakikilala ko na sa events. Some even send me private messages sa Friendster, saying they saw me in FHM and that they’d voted for me.
Is that Friendster profile your campaigning tool?
No, it’s a personal thing. I didn’t even vote for myself until the deadline came close. My brother is the one who campaigned for me. Naglagay pa nga sila sa website nila na, “Please vote for my sister Paulene.” Cute nga eh!
