While we admit to leaving smudge on our eyeglasses (i.e, thumb marks and “liquids”) more than a couple of times—which has resulted in a number of hideous blunders in the pages of this rag—this time we’re proud to say that the name you see above is no typo. Yes, the name of the fine lady carrying the Girlfriend flag this month is really spelled that way—Fearl. F.E.A.R.L. Foxtrot Echo Alpha Romeo Lima. Fearl. But strange as it feels on the tongue, there is some reason behind this. “Kaya Fearl kasi Felix yung unang naisip na name ng father ko,” she says. “Eh gusto niya rin yung Pearl so kinuha niya run—para maiba he used ‘F’ instead of ‘P.’ My whole name is Fearl Jasmine.” Hmmm…still confusing, but because you’re beautiful, Fearl, we’ll let you get away with that…
