Thanks for clearing that up. Can you tell us something else we don’t know about Romania?
Well, it’s really an interesting place. The scenery is great, the food is great and the people are extremely funny. I think it’s just in our culture to be funny and sarcastic most of the time.

Guess you crack a lot of jokes as well.
Yes, I do. Living here in the Philippines, though, sometimes people think I’m being serious when I’m joking around. Sometimes they don’t get that I am just fooling around, so I keep a mental note to myself that I should be careful with my jokes.

Could it be due to cultural difference?
Yes, maybe so. Well, I’m being sarcastic most of the time but now that I’ve been living here for quite a while now I’m getting the Filipino humor even more.

Speaking of living here, what made you decide to explore this part of the world in the first place?
The company I work for back home assigned me here in the Philippines to work as a trainer to call center agents. Now I work as a consultant. So I came here really not knowing anything about the country. After a few years, I just love living here. I don’t want to go home anymore. Ha ha!

What made you want to stay permanently?

This is a country you only see on TV. The white sand beaches, palm trees, lovely weather—things we don’t have back at home. And the people are so nice here. I like the life I have here, in every point of view.
