Okay, I was 17 when I auditioned for that commercial and that started it all for me. Truth is, I wasn’t supposed to play the lead in that ad, the one who shouts “I love you Piolo!” but only as one of the girls in the background.

What luck then! Had they stuck to the original talent you’d still be “just a girl.”
Yes. I guess my luck was that the ad’s director was looking for a certain delivery among the talents they cast—now I know it was that loud, kikay girl of sorts. They got me to try it and it worked.
