Tell us more about this femme-power group.
Yes. The intention of Death Vixens is to be the voice of women who believe that being beautiful should not fall under the clichés na dapat payat, mestiza, busty and all that. Women are of different shapes and sizes, and they’re all beautiful in and out. So to voice this point I gathered women who have achieved something in different fields, aside from being yung typical roles like homemakers or teachers. It includes Sarah, Russel Jean, a model and bass player of Oremuz, Nina and Queen Mousa, who models and keeps a day job at the same time.

Nina Beltran
You’re doing keyboards and vocals for the Dorques. What’s it like?
It’s really great! It’s hard to classify our genre; it’s not pop naman. Hindi ko alam, ha ha ha! Siguro our music is more under indie rock. I’ve been playing the piano since grade four pa ata tapos nagkaroon ako ng banda after college. Then I heard naghahanap ang Dorques ng vocalist/keyboardist. I tried it out. So yun, kinuha nila ako.

That tattoo’s a real eye-catcher
When I get a tattoo it should signify an experience I’ve been through. Nagpapa-tats lang ako kapag may point sa buhay ko na may meaning para hindi ko malakimutan yung lessons.
