So tell us a little about yourself.
I’m Joyce Andres. That’s spelled “u-n-d-r-e-s-s,” ha ha ha! I’ve been a model, technically, for the last seven years. I gave up study, now I’m back in school again.
This isn’t your first time here, right?
I did FHM before, four years ago, and it was with an Australian photographer. It was the first time for me to do a shoot in a bikini. It was torture, because his Australian accent was really thick. I was relatively new and I didn’t understand a single word he said. Maraming nasa isip ko: accent niya, gusto kong maintindihan, anong gagawin ko?
When you’re not being a model, what do you do?
When I’m not modeling, I’m at the beach. If I have a chance, I’ll retire there one day. I love watersports. I’m addicted to the beach.
What beaches are your favorite?
My favorite beach is Phuket in Thailand, and here in the Philippines, Caramoan. For me it’s really beautiful. But I really want to go back to Bali. My boyfriend and I usually stay in a hostel or a backpacker place in Bali, but we always want to stay near Kuta because of the surfing.
You know, surfing isn’t the only thing you can do on the beach. What’s the craziest scene you’ve ever crashed beachside?
I’ve been to this crazy New Year party in Koh Phangan Island in Thailand. Sometimes, being crazy is natural— it’s the right approach to reality, right? So the whole beach, 10,000 people, all went crazy, taking off their clothes. I saw three couples fucking on the beach. Why not? They liked it!
