What’s your role in the group?
Supposedly, dapat kakanta lang ako, pero nakita naming mas maganda pala yung as a group na kumakanta at saka sumasayaw. Dapat lead vocalist lang ako nung una. Nag-jive na kami ngayon.
How is it bonding with your new groupmates?
Lumalabas kasi kami pag nagvi-videoke sila. Nagba-bonding kami parati after ng shows. Pag nagre-rehearse kami, tinuturuan naman ang isa’t isa sa singing and sa dancing. Because of these moments, napapalakas namin weakness ng isa’t isa.
And they say you’re the good girl in the group...
Di ako umiinom, di ako nag-smo-smoke. Wala akong alam na bisyo kasi walang tinuro sa amin. Di ako nababarkada. After school, bahay agad.
Angel Tayao
You were part of Deal or No Deal. What made you decide to become a performer?
Meron na akong background sa dancing and modeling. So mas in-expand ko pa yung horizon ko. I know I can also sing and rap so all this feels new to me.
How did you get into rap?
I’ve never actually tried it until Playgirls. When I joined the group, that was when I discovered that I could enjoy rapping pala. And that I could be good at it.
Being in a girl group, you spend a lot of time with other women. Have you ever developed a crush on any of your fellow Playgirls?
I’ve had certain crushes before who were girls because I studied in an all-girls school. I realized that when it comes to love and attraction, hindi naman factor ang gender dun.
