Your name reminds us of the Euro car we can only dream of scoring. Are you as hard-to-get as the ride?
Really? Ha ha ha. Well, I do get those comments once in a while. Like when I’m introduced to someone, friends would usually say, “Her name’s Mercedes…you know, like the car.” In Argentina, though, Mercedes is a very common name like Ana or Jane. You know, I don’t shy away from people. Others get the impression that I’m a snob but I’m really not. I actually love talking to people and meeting different personalities. Oh yes, I like that car, too. Ha ha!

(Laughs) Oh yeah, that’s right. Well, why not? That should be fun. Although, come to think of it, I wouldn’t have much use for a car right now because my work doesn’t give me much time to just settle in one place. I’m always away somewhere for at least three months. That’s the catch in being a model, you have to hop from one spot to another and stay there until all your commitments are done.
