You played Belinda Bright in Sshh, She Walks by Night? How much of Belinda Bright is Belinda Bright?
The character Belinda is totally different from the real Belinda. In the movie, she’s manipulative. She uses sex to get what she wants, which is completely the opposite of me. I’d rather work hard for something na lang than hurt and deceive other people. I don’t really know if I can manipulate others to advance my interests.
Was it a tough sell getting you aboard the sexy film bandwagon?
N’ung high school pa lang ako, I wanted to do it na but I was too young so I had to wait. When film offers came, I was given a choice which path to go—pa-tweetums or bold. I’d rather go bold because I think it’d be hypocritical to say na pa-tweetums ako. It’s not me e. Parang ang hirap kasi iarte iyong pa-cute-cute at pa-smile-smile. I think it’s more challenging kung daring yung dating mo. Iba yung tingin sa ’yo ng tao.
